V. Kim Kutsch
Dr. Kim Kutsch is an Albany/Corvallis area native and received his dental degree from the University of Oregon. He is both a practicing dentist and an internationally recognized expert in cavity prevention and minimally invasive dentistry. Because he has dedicated his entire career to the development of new technologies and treatment methods in dentistry, it has been a natural progression to utilize them in our practice.
Dr. Kutsch is a lifelong inventor, and holds numerous patents relative to the dental profession. He helped develop the Carifree® system, which diagnoses and eliminates tooth decay. He is a mentor in the prestigious Kois Center for dentists in Seattle, Washington. Dr. Kutsch is a published author and favored keynote speaker at dental meetings throughout the world.
Dr. Kutsch has a lifelong passion for fly fishing and playing the banjo. He and his wife Dana enjoy traveling and outdoor adventures. Together, they have five children and ten grandchildren.
Dr. Greg Renyer is a native Oregonian, growing up in the Hillsboro/Forest Grove area. After high school he became a Beaver and attended Oregon State University, where he majored in Bio Health Sciences. He then attended OHSU for four years, and earned his DMD degree. He and his wife love the Mid Valley area so they decided to put down roots in Albany and were fortunate enough to join Dr. Kim Kutsch’s practice. He and Dr. Kutsch became business partners in 1999.
His passion is advanced restorative dentistry, so he decided to get his advanced dental training through the Kios Center. He started attending courses in 1999 and became a Mentor Dentist for them in 2003. Also, he truly has a strong desire to receive the best dental training available and has over double the required continuing education requirements required by the state licensing board. He truly loves his career and is excited to do all aspects of dentistry, from the most complex cases to the simplest of procedures. He also loves volunteering and spends many hours every year at the Boy’s and Girls’ Club dental clinic.
Dr. Renyer’s wife Jennifer is actively involved in the practice, working in the financial department. She is also very active in the community, being a member of various community boards and chairing several activities.
His daughter Karissa attended West Albany High school and is now at OSU in the Pre Dental program. She is also a member of the Beaver’s tennis team.
His son Nick is a senior at West Albany high school and plays on the basketball and Lacrosse teams. He is also an active member of the West Albany Leadership program.
We are proud of our team of talented hygienists. Between them, they have close to 80 years of experience. They are the first people you see when you visit the office, and specialize in helping you maintain your teeth for a lifetime. They will not only clean and polish your teeth – they also diligently check for any sign of disease, thoroughly document your current condition and perform a screening for indications of oral cancer. Visit them once, and you’ll see why our patients love to come in every six months.
Our Assisting Team
Behind every great dentist, there is an exceptional assistant, and ours are some of the best. They are present to take x-rays, prepare for procedures, and assist in surgery. Also, they ensure our treatment rooms are clean and germ-free, and instruments are fully sterilized. With over 75 years of experience between them, you can count on our assisting team to be there for your comfort. They can clarify details with you, like your next steps in treatment or postoperative instructions.
Our Administrative Team
Our administrative team streamlines your experience in the office. They answer your inbound call, make your appointment, assist you in getting the maximum benefit from your dental plan and help you determine how you’d like to handle your next phase of treatment. They ensure your paperwork is in order, clear up questions about your balance and help you obtain third-party financing for treatment, if needed. If you have questions about anything in the office, the administrative team is here to help.
We’re thrilled to welcome Dr. David Hatch to our staff as a part-time provider of services. He is a graduate of OHSU School of Dentistry and especially enjoys performing difficult restorations and root canal therapy. Dr. Hatch is deeply focused on continuing education and, like our other principal dentists, serves as a mentor at the prestigious Kois Center for Dental Excellence. In his spare time, he is an avid baseball fan who plays in a league every year. We are excited for the opportunity to work with a dentist who shares our vision of excellence.
